Shipping and Returns

SHIPPING OPTIONS

All items are shipped from our fulfillment center in Chicago, Illinois. We strive to ship orders within 24 hours of being placed. Delays may occur due to weather, availability or other circumstances. The shipping process for each location is as follows:

FOR ITEMS SHIPPED FROM OUR FULFILLMENT CENTER:
For ground shipping, orders placed by Friday at 2:00 p.m. CST will ship within five to seven business days. Orders shipping via ground shipping will arrive within 5 - 10 business days.
For overnight delivery, orders placed by Thursday at 2:00 p.m. CST will ship that day. Orders placed after that will ship the following Monday.
Rare Tea Cellar requires a signature for delivery to an apartment and someone must be present to accept the delivery with a signature unless otherwise requested.
Orders containing perishables, placed between 2:00 p.m. CST Thursday and 2:00 p.m. CST Monday, will ship on Monday.

PERISHABLES
Please note that all perishable items are automatically shipped NEXT DAY (next business day) to ensure your product arrives in superb condition. All fresh and frozen food products are carefully packaged to maintain optimum quality. As needed, your order will be packed with ice packs and placed in an insulated container for shipment.

DELIVERY
Please check all addresses carefully. Rare Tea Cellar guarantees delivery only to the addresses that we are provided with. If we are unable to deliver the package, we will return your order to our distribution center. If the product arrives in good condition, we can send the package back out to you and charge you only the shipping and handling. If the product does not arrive in good condition, you will be responsible for the charges of a new order.
We guarantee delivery only to the address you provide. Shipments that you re-direct and shipments to incorrect or incomplete addresses cannot be guaranteed to deliver on time. We do not deliver to P.O. Boxes.

SATURDAY DELIVERY 
This service is available in limited areas for an additional fee.

SHIPPING HOLIDAYS
Rare Tea Cellars and its carriers will not ship or deliver on the following days:
New Year's Eve - Only Air package will be delivered
New Year`s Day
Presidents` Day
Memorial Day
Independence Day
Labor Day
Thanksgiving Day
Christmas Day

ADDITIONAL SHIPPING HOLIDAYS FOR THOSE WITH PO/APO AND FPO ADDRESSES:

RETURNS & REFUNDS

Rare Tea Cellar takes great pride in selecting the finest products available. If for some reason, you are not satisfied with your non-perishable purchase, you may return it for replacement, credit or refund. Unfortunately, we do not accept returns of perishable items. We will accept non-perishable returns within 30 days of receipt. We cannot send a replacement, credit or refund for the purchase until we have the product back in inventory. If the product does not arrive in good condition to return to stock, then we will not be able to send a replacement, credit or refund for the purchase. Shipping charges are not refundable.

Wrap the package well, include the return form found on the back of the packing list/invoice enclosed in your order and ship it to us at the address below. Please be sure to ship your item by an insured, traceable method to the address below. This service is offered by UPS, USPS, FedEx and other carriers.

SHIPPING RESTRICTIONS

Shipping options to Alaska and Hawaii are determined by delivery area. Therefore, orders to these areas must be placed directly with a representative. Please contact Customer Service at info@rareteacellar for assistance.
